Service Description

ENCAUSTIC PAINTING is for adult students to enjoy in a private setting with your paint lovin' instructor Gretchen Grunt, who will teach you the magical flexibility of the hot wax paint mixture of bees wax, damar crystals and oil paint. You'll learn how versatile and quick the encaustic paint can be manipulated by adding in a variety of textures, drawing into with intaglio techniques, collaging papers, embedding objects, and melting the layers for a stable long lasting masterpiece on a canvas board. Encaustic is a fabulous alternative to oil painting, as the learning curve is considerably less. Any skill level adult is guaranteed to enjoy and all art materials are provided. Cancellation Policy

IF APPLICABLE: Include child(ren)'s full name and name of school attending in the notes while registering. CANCELLATION POLICY requires a notification of 72 hours before the scheduled class.
