Service Description
ENCAUSTIC PAINTING is an instantly gratifying and magically flexible medium of hot bees wax, damar crystals and oil paint. You'll learn how versatile and quick the encaustic paint can be manipulated by adding in a variety of textures, drawing into with intaglio techniques, collaging papers, embedding objects, and transferring zerox images. All of which are melted carefully into layers for a stable long lasting masterpiece on a wood panel. Encaustic is a fabulous alternative to oil painting, as the learning curve is considerably less.
